Registration:

Political Parties must be registered with the Integrity of Political Parties and Candidates Commission in order to be eligible for the National General Elections.

Party registration checklist:
	must be incorporated under the Association Incorporation Act (PNG IPA)
	written party constitution
	minimun of 500 financial members
	K10 000.00 registration fee (non- refundable)

Information on the process of party registration.

Registration process:
	Party lodges an application (Form 2 )including K10 000.00 fee to the Registry Office
	the Registrar checks to see all requirements are met
	the Registrar advertises the application on print media for three weeks for scruitiny from general public
	Party has the right to reply to scrutiny if any
	the Integrity of Political Parties and Candidates Commission makes a decision whether to register the party or not
	the decision may be appealed if unfavourable
